FORTUNE PAI GOW POKER

The object of Fortune Pai Gow Poker is to beat the player/dealer in a seven card poker game using standard poker hand rankings.

Fortune Pai Gow Poker is played by up to six players, and a player-dealer, on a standard-sized blackjack-type table. A deck of 52 cards plus one joker is used. The joker is a wild card.

Players must arrange their cards with two cards on top and five cards on the bottom. The cards must be arranged so that the five card hand is higher than the two card hand. Players may not discuss their hand or show their hand to other players.

Players must make a wager in the designated circle and may place an optional Fortune bonus wager in the designated bonus circle and may place an optional Progressive wager in the red light circle. Once all betting is concluded, the house dealer hands the dice cup to the player-dealer who shakes it. The dice total determines which seat gets the first hand. All other hands receive cards in counter-clockwise rotations. The house dealer then delivers seven cards face-down to all players.

Once all players have arranged their hands, the player-dealer’s seven cards are exposed and arranged by the player-dealer the same way as players’ cards. Players may not re-arrange or touch their cards after the player-dealer’s cards are exposed.

Once all cards are exposed and arranged, the player-dealer’s hands are compared to the player’s hands.

Outcome

The following outcome is determined by comparing the player’s 5 card hand with the player-dealer’s 5 card hand and by comparing the player’s 2 card hand with the player-dealer’s 2 card hand:

(1) If the player wins both hands, the player-dealer pays the amount of the wager.
(2) If the player wins one hand and the player-dealer wins the other hand, it is a push and no money is exchanged.
(3) If the player-dealer wins both hands, the player-dealer collects the wager.
(4) Ties: If either hand is tied, the dealer wins that particular hand; so, if the dealer wins one hand and ties the other , or if both hands are tied, the dealer wins. If one hand is tied and the player wins the other hand, it is a push and no money is exchanged.

Players may play more than one hand, however players may only look at and set their first hand. All other hands will be set the “House-Way” by the house dealer. “House-Way” procedure cards are available at the gaming table.

All bets receive action to the extent that the player-dealer wager covers.

Progressive Bonus

Players who place a wager in the designated circle also have the option to place a $1 bet in the Progressive red light circle before the cards are dealt. The player’s hand is determined using only the player’s own seven cards. The player wins their progressive wager only if their hand is listed on the Progressive Pay Table.

Fortune Bonus Bet

The Fortune bet is an optional bet based on the best 5 card poker hand among all your 7 cards. Players who place wagers on the main game have the option to place a Fortune Pai Gow Poker Bonus Bet. Players may not wager the Fortune bet only.

The minimum Fortune bet is $1 and the maximum is $100. If the Fortune bet is at least $5, the player qualifies for an Envy Bonus payout and the dealer will place an “Envy” button next to the player’s bet.

The dealer will determine the outcome of the Fortune bet at the same time the dealer determines the outcome of the main pai gow bet. Players win if their 5 card poker hand is one of the hands listed on the paytable, regardless of how the hand is set by the player; and lose if their 5 card poker hand is not one of the hands on the paytable.

Players qualify to win the Envy Bonus if at least one other person at the table receives a Four-of-a-Kind or higher. The outcome of the Envy Bonus is not determined until the end of the round. All players with Envy buttons receive the Envy payout shown on the paytable for each hand someone else at the table receives listed on the paytable. Note: You cannot win Envy Bonuses for your hands or the player-dealer’s hand.
