TEXAS HOLD'EM NO LIMIT

HISTORY

Texas Hold’em is played with a standard 52-card deck. Each player receives two (2) hole cards face-down followed by an initial round of betting. After the initial round of betting is concluded, three (3) community cards (called “the flop”) are dealt face-up on the board which are shared among all players, followed by a round of betting. After that round of betting is concluded, a fourth (4th) community card is dealt face-up on the board (called “the turn” or “4th street”) followed by a round of betting. After that round of betting is concluded, a fifth (5th) and final community card is dealt face-up on the board (called “the river” or “5th street”) followed by a final round of betting. After the final round of betting is completed, remaining players may use any combination of their hole cards and the community cards from the board to make the best hand possible.

In No Limit games, the amount of the Blinds and the Minimum and Maximum Buy-In are posted at each table. Other than the mandatory Blinds, a player may bet as much chips and/or cash as the player has on the table in front of the player prior to the start of the hand (also known as “table stakes”). When facing a bet, players have the option of calling the bet or raising the bet by a minimum of an amount equal to the bet facing the player and up to the total amount of chips and/or cash as the player has on the table in front of the player prior to the start of the hand (also known as going “all in”) In all games, players receive action up to the amount the player wagers on the hand. Players do not forfeit the amount of their prior wagers already in the pot when they do not have enough money to call the action facing them.
